Ghosts

Some ghosts live in canyons and some ghosts live on hills

And some ghosts live on city streets where people see them still

And some ghosts have the answers as to why there’s ghosts at all

And some are just reflections of the light upon the wall

And there are ghosts, there are ghosts, there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts there there are ghosts there are ghosts here

And there are ghosts, there are ghosts, there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts there are ghosts there, ghosts here, ghosts here

I saw a ghost sit quietly and let his thoughts be heard

I saw a ghost take to the wing and then become a bird

I asked a ghost to comfort me and hold me when I cried

I felt him wrap around me and a heard a tender sigh

And there are ghosts, there are ghosts there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts there are ghosts there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts, there are ghosts, there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts there  are ghosts there ghosts here, ghosts here

And there are ghosts here

And they’ve been here all along

And they are with us

Like the ripples on the pond

And they can hear you

If you talk to them in song

And there are ghosts, there are ghosts there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts there are ghosts there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts, there are ghosts, there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts there there are ghosts there ghosts here, ghosts here

So if you feel a puff of wind that blows across your hand

Remember all the many feet that walked upon the land

And don’t rely on logic for it falls away like sand

And there are ghosts, there are ghosts there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts there are ghosts there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts, there are ghosts, there are ghosts here,

And there are ghosts there are ghosts there ghosts here, ghosts here
